so Knister Grill founder Carolin Kunert about a month ago on LinkedInThis hope has now been confirmed: her company was acquired by Babossa BBQ from Bergische Gladbach in an asset deal. She continues:
"Although the final decision wasn't in my hands, out of a long list of potential buyers and many offers, I'm honestly glad that Knister was purchased by a "good guy"! Daniel and his team bring a wealth of expertise from e-commerce and the barbecue industry, a wealth of manufacturing know-how from the family business, and above all, new energy."
Knister Grill: From bicycle to balcony
Kunert founded Knister Grill in 2018 and delivered in the same year, after a successful crowdfunding campaign, launched its first products. Initially, the Munich startup's product portfolio included charcoal grills, later expanding to include gas grills. In addition to bicycle mounts, they also developed mounts for balconies, allowing Knister grills to be used at home. This approach proved particularly successful at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic and the associated lockdown restrictions.
