To promote exchange and knowledge transfer between stakeholders in Vienna's impact scene and international startups, the Vienna Business Agency is offering the five-day Discover Vienna: Climate Tech program from November 5 to 10, 2023. This program aims to connect international startups with Vienna's climate tech ecosystem and open up new business opportunities for them in the Austrian capital. The program focuses on renewable energy, hydrogen, climate change adaptation, the circular economy, sustainable mobility, and urban logistics.
Discover Vienna: Climate Tech is aimed at international startups interested in new clean technologies work, transform the way we do business, and work on decarbonizing the economy. The selected startups can participate in exclusive roundtable discussions and meetings with relevant stakeholders from Vienna's innovation landscape and startup ecosystem. The Vienna Business Agency will also cover accommodation costs for the duration of the program.
Participation in the UN International Energy and Climate Forum Vienna
Before the start of the program, startups can also participate in the International Energy and Climate Forum Vienna on 2 and 3 November (IVECF) is run by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization UNIDO at the Hofburg. The costs for this extended stay from November 2 to 10 are also being covered by the Vienna Business Agency.
All international companies and startups that are no older than five years and have already progressed beyond the prototype stage are eligible to apply. They must also have already successfully established themselves in the domestic market. The application deadline is September 20.
