Holidu and Sportihome enter into strategic partnership

Bookiply, the subsidiary of Holidu, enters into a strategic partnership with Sportihome, a French holiday accommodation company for sports and nature vacationers.

The partnership aims to combine the strengths of both sides in various areas of expertise: Bookiply and Holidu will provide the technological framework for the Sportihome website, while Sportihome will contribute its expertise of the French market and sports tourism. The goal of this partnership is to make searching and booking accommodation for sports holidays as easy and reliable as possible.

Expansion at European level

Sylvain Morel, COO of Sportihome, explains:

"Sports tourism is experiencing the fastest growth in the travel industry. More and more customers are interested in sporting activities during their trip, regardless of whether it is the primary purpose of the vacation or not. Major players in the vacation rental sector are therefore trying to attract vacation home owners. As part of this strategic partnership, we will support Holidu and Bookiply with our expertise in sports tourism—including our community sports guide, our sports-focused accommodation categories, and our partnerships with sports equipment manufacturers. With the help of Holidu and Bookiply, we will have the opportunity to expand at the European level."

The collaboration between the two parties aims to help private individuals and professional vacation rental owners manage their bookings by providing them with tools and services to accelerate their growth. Thanks to this integration, Sportihome hosts will benefit from increased visibility and numerous advantages in managing their accommodations.

France is an important market for Holidu and Bookiply

Johannes Siebers, CEO of Holidu, says:

"This partnership is also very satisfying for us personally, as my brother Michael and I founded Holidu in 2014 during a surfing trip looking for beach accommodation in Portugal. Sportihome's expertise in sports tourism will help us offer European travelers the best and most innovative solution, making life easier for hosts and visitors. We are very excited to join forces with the team to build the leading European provider of vacation rental booking services for sports enthusiasts. In terms of sales and bookings, France is one of Holidu's largest and most important markets, and our subsidiary Bookiply is also growing rapidly there. Our Bookiply guests are very satisfied with the product, and our properties receive excellent reviews."
