ZenML announces an expansion of its seed funding from €3.5 million ($3.7 million) to €6 million ($6.4 million). Point Nine Capital is leading the investment. Other investors include existing investor Crane, business angels Luke de Oliveira, Harold Giménez, and D. Sculley.
The Operations Framework ZenML is designed to make transitioning a machine learning project into research and production faster and easier. The open-source tool enables the creation of pipelines that data scientists, machine learning engineers, and platform engineers can use to collaborate and build new AI models.
One of the founders of ZenMl, Hamza Tahir, writes on Linkedin:
"These are exciting times—the world has seemingly changed dozens of times in the last two years, and it's hard to escape the impression that we're witnessing a generational shift in the world of machine learning and its impact on society. I firmly believe that the future of machine learning will be based on open source, and that smaller, specialized models will be the foundation for the next generation of value creation."
At the same time as announcing its funding, the startup The ZenML Cloud is also being launched. This service builds on the open source core and extends its features with additional features such as single sign-on, role-based access control, and delivery integrations.
