Forbes 30 under 30: These Munich residents are listed

The Forbes 30 under 30 2023 for the DACH region has been announced. The list includes 30 personalities each from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland who are under 30 years old and have already achieved extraordinary things. Four founders from the Munich startup ecosystem also appear in the ranking.

Every year, the Forbes 30 Under 30 includes the most exciting people under 30 – founders and investors, activists and artists. Business magazine Forbes has been publishing the Under 30 list since 2011. For the eighth time, the ranking also for the German-speaking region From over 2,000 nominations, a jury selected 30 Under 30 Listmakers each for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

A total of four founders of Munich startups are also among the award winners: Alona Kharchenko is co-founder and CTO of Devanthro. The robotics company wants to bring humanoid avatars into healthcare. The so-called robodies are intended to make the daily lives of caregivers easier. Combining robotics, AI, AR, and 5G, the robodies will enable their operators to teleport their senses, actions, and presence to any location in the world. 29-year-old Kharchenko believes that robots can be powerful advocates for greater empathy and humanity.

As co-founder and co-director of the Responsible Tech HubAt , a non-profit organization, Yasmin Al-Douri (27) is committed to shaping a sustainable, responsible technological present and future. Al-Douri seeks to promote intergenerational exchange and amplify the voices of young people in discussions about digital innovations. With her project, she was one of the youngest Responsible Tech experts to appear on the G7 stage and at the Munich Security Conference, among other events, and was named a Young Global Changemaker 2022.

30 under 30: Studysmarter and Flyla part of the ranking

Also part of the 30 under 30 is Maurice Khudhir (29 years old), co-founder and CMO of Learning platform StudysmarterBorn in Iraq, Khurdhir came to Germany with his family at the age of three. There, he experienced the problems of the education system firsthand and subsequently founded Studysmarter with his co-founders. The edtech startup enables its users to efficiently create learning content and thus achieve their educational goals.

Ben Shaw (30 years old) is CEO and co-founder of the Munich Travel startups FlylaThe company operates a platform for cheap last-minute flight tickets exclusively for students and young people. Flyla uses passenger segmentation for airlines to maximize their capacity. Before founding Flyla, the 30-year-old gained experience in various positions, including at Stryber and in the Insurtech Hub Munich.
