After insolvency: Noyes Technologies finds buyer

The Munich-based company Noyes Technologies has been offering automated warehouse solutions since 2021. However, the startup had to file for insolvency in November 2023. The Austrian Knapp Group is now taking over Noyes.

Over the past few years, Noyes has developed a fully automated, AI-based, and modular warehouse system. The solution requires minimal space and is therefore particularly suitable for small areas, such as in large urban areas. The startup is primarily targeting quick-move and e-commerce providers and parcel delivery services. After a successful Seed financing of 3.2 million euros However, in 2021, the startup failed to secure follow-up financing. In November 2023, Noyes finally went public. provisional insolvency administration.

The insolvency court appointed Rolf Pohlmann, a Munich-based specialist in insolvency and restructuring law, as the provisional insolvency administrator. His law firm, Pohlmann Hofmann, also managed the insolvency of Franka Emika, among others. Pohlmann initiated a comprehensive M&A process, which ultimately culminated in a bidding war in which the Austrian Knapp Group could enforce.

All Noyes jobs will remain

Knapp develops and produces intelligent plant systems using digitalization, software, automation, and robotics solutions. Founded in 1952 by inventor and inventor Günter Knapp as a sole proprietorship with two employees in Graz, the group now employs around 7,500 people at 62 locations worldwide.

As of February 1, the newly founded Knapp Nano Warehousing Beteiligungs GmbH took over the business operations of Noyes Technologies. The company will now continue operations under the future name Noyes Robotics, and all 19 employees at the Munich location will be retained. Knapp now intends to continue the development and delivery of the warehouse system and maintain existing business relationships with customers and business partners.
