The Impact of Diversity Award is all about diversity and inclusion. The award was initiated by the Women's Career Index, a management tool for promoting women in companies. The aim of the award is to recognize initiatives, role models, and companies that are committed to Diversity and inclusion – regardless of size and prominence. Startups can now also apply in a separate category for this year's fourth awards ceremony.
The "Diversity in Startups" category honors young companies that are financed with venture capital and have been on the market for less than ten years. The Impact of Diversity Awards website also states:
"These companies integrate diversity into their corporate culture from the very beginning and place great value on equal opportunities. Diverse (leadership) teams play a key role in driving innovation and thus creating competitive advantages that promote the growth of startups into scaleups."
The sponsor of this category is the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).
The application period, originally scheduled to end on February 18, has been extended to March 3. Interested startups can apply via a Application form nominate themselves. A jury of experts will then select the winners in each category. Additionally, all submissions have a chance to win the Audience Award via a public vote. The 4th Impact of Diversity Award will be presented at a live event on July 4 in Kronberg im Taunus.
