Flix reports record year: 2 billion euros in total revenue

When presenting its preliminary figures for the 2023 financial year, Flix announced a new record. For the first time, the Munich-based unicorn achieved total revenue of €2 billion, representing revenue growth of a full 30 percent.

Last year, 81 million travelers used the services of Flixbus, Flixtrain, Greyhound, and Kamil Koc. This represents growth of 34 percent compared to the previous year. Flix also achieved an adjusted EBITDA of €104 million—an increase of €97 million compared to 2022.

Flix recorded strong operational and financial performance across all segments in 2023. In Europe, the Pursue Total revenue grew by 46 percent to €1,186 million. Passenger numbers rose to 55 million, a 41 percent increase compared to 2022. In 2023, Flix expanded to Finland and Greece, connecting even more European countries to its network.

In the USA, Canada and Mexico, twelve million travelers Flixbus and Greyhound, around 36 percent more than in 2022. Total revenue grew by eleven percent to a total of 615 million euros. In Turkey, 14 million passengers traveled on the green buses, eight percent more than in 2022. This generated revenue of 189 million euros for the company there, corresponding to growth of 15 percent compared to the previous year.

Flix continues its global growth course

With its market entry into Chile in October 2023, Flixbus is now present in two of the largest Latin American countries. In Brazil, Flix expanded its offering to 35 cities, including Salvador and Fortaleza.

In addition, Flixbus began operations in India at the beginning of February 2024, with 200 daily connections in 46 cities, including Delhi, Lucknow, Jodhpur, and Varanasi. Further connections are already being planned.
