Relevo now belongs to the Duni Group

The Munich-based reusable packaging startup Relevo is now part of the Swedish Duni Group. With this transaction, Relevo aims to strengthen its market position and prepare for future developments.

The Duni Group focuses on sustainable food and packaging solutions for the hospitality industry. At the beginning of March, the Swedish company acquired a majority stake in Relevo. Duni states that the goal of this move is to further strengthen its food packaging business and offer customers sustainable solutions for every need, in line with the circular economy.

Relevo offers reusable packaging for takeaway food, tailored to the individual needs of catering establishments. It combines high-quality tableware with an easy-to-use digital process for rental and inventory management. The startup was founded in spring 2020 by Aaron Sperl, Gregor Kolb and Matthias PotthastAccording to the company, more than 2,500 restaurants across Europe now use the Relevo reusable system. Last autumn, the startup secured a strategic investment from the Jokey GroupThe acquisition is intended to accelerate international expansion.
