Alpine Space Ventures’ portfolio includes the Munich-based startups Reflex Aerospace and Blackwave. Reflex Aerospace develops satellite platforms tailored to the individual needs of its customers, Blackwave develops and manufactures highly complex carbon components that cannot be manufactured using conventional manufacturing processes. Other portfolio companies include Morpheus Space from Dresden and the two US companies K2 Space and Source Energy. The investor plans to include no more than 15 startups in its portfolio in order to provide the best possible support to the founding teams.
Alpine Space Ventures receives funding from NATO
The venture capital fund has now secured ten million euros from the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF). The alliance's venture capital fund has one billion euros of capital to invest in technologies at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, security, and resilience. The NIF covers areas such as defense and space as well as topics such as energy, autonomy, climate, industry, and biotechnology. The NIF operates as an independent venture capital firm and is active in both early-stage investments and funds of funds.
