The competition is aimed at projects and ideas that Challenges in the educational landscape approaching new approaches. According to the Deloitte Foundation's definition, hidden movers are generally little known. Yet they often offer precisely these solutions that have the potential to grow and can serve as a model for others. To convince the jury, the projects had to have a lasting impact and reach young people in Germany.
The Hidden Movers Award recognizes educational projects in three categories, each with a corresponding prize. Winners in the Idea Phase category receive six months of pro bono consulting from Deloitte, coaching from Social Entrepreneurship Akademie, and a communications package. Winning initiatives in the Growth Phase and Kutscheit Special Prize for Language Promotion categories receive a total of €75,000 in prize money, in addition to consulting and coaching.
After the application phase, a jury will review and evaluate the applications based on selected criteria. The focus is on impact, long-term feasibility, teamwork, role model function, scalability, and degree of innovation. The announcement of the winners and the award ceremony will take place in November.
The application period for the Hidden Movers Award runs until April 30. Registration is only possible online via the digital application portal. The Deloitte Foundation also provides a Application Guide available.
