In addition to the Swiss insurance group Baloise, the startup Family Office from Baden-Württemberg is also investing money in Mobiko. The exact amount of the investment is not known. The Munich-based Startup was created in 2018 from a cooperation partnership between Audi Business Innovation and the company builder Mantro. Mobiko offers companies a solution to manage their employees' mobility expenses via a monthly digital mobility budget to be settled.
The goal of the funding is to further develop Mobiko as a platform for corporate mobility solutions. The startup aims to meet the growing market demand for mobility budgets and promote sustainable and low-emission corporate mobility.
The growth capital will also support the new strategic business unit "Mobiko MaaS Solutions." There, the startup develops solutions for and with transport associations and public transport companies to further digitize public transport. The focus here is primarily on the closer integration of micromobility with public transport.
An initial project with the Rhine-Main Transport Association to develop a mobility budget for business customers has already begun. A proof of concept is also underway to test the potential integration of the MVG system with the mobility budget. In the future, companies will also be able to adapt the existing modules of the Mobiko platform to their individual business needs.
