What is the event about?
What innovative concepts, products, and services do companies from Munich and the surrounding area offer to green cities? What challenges does the city of Munich face in open space development, and what needs does it have? As part of the EU project JUSTNature, the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations, together with the Department of Labor and Economic Development, the Munich Economic Development Agency, and Munich Business, are inviting companies that offer products and services related to urban nature and greening and that design urban open spaces.
What can you expect as a participant?
We plan to feature pitches from companies, showcase examples of successful collaborations between the administration and businesses, discuss various stakeholders, and provide time and space for networking. City administration employees from various departments and entrepreneurs will share insights and experiences, discuss, and get to know each other in order to:
• to make the offerings of local and regional companies as well as their support needs more visible.
• To connect companies with each other and with the City of Munich in order to find even more suitable solutions for Munich’s green spaces and open spaces in the future.
• to raise awareness of the support offered by the state capital for start-ups and SMEs.
• To identify challenges and solutions for the state capital of Munich in the areas of urban nature, open space planning and design, climate adaptation and biodiversity as well as needs for innovative greening concepts and measures.
Using the insights gained from the event, the JUSTNature team is developing a concept for the City of Munich to improve integration and collaboration with such companies.
