Understanding regulation, clarifying questions, gaining guidance: On October 13, 2026, BaFin (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) will be visiting Munich’s Werksviertel with its Pop-up Embassy. As part of the InsurTech Hub Munich Accelerator Day, it offers founders the opportunity for direct exchange with experts.
How the BaFin Pop-up Embassy works: In confidential 1-on-1 sessions, founders can discuss regulatory questions concerning their business model, receive initial assessments, and learn more about supervisory expectations. In an open and practice-oriented dialogue, the discussion partners create transparency and reduce uncertainties around regulatory topics – with the shared goal of bringing innovations successfully and sustainably to market.
With the BaFin Pop-up Embassy, InsurTech Hub Munich brings a format to Munich that has already been successfully tested in Berlin and Frankfurt. For guests of the ITHM Accelerator Day, BaFin provides low-threshold access to regulatory expertise and strengthens the exchange between startups, regulators, and the innovation ecosystem. Beyond the individual sessions, BaFin experts will also provide an overview of their responsibilities and supervisory approaches on the main stage during the morning.
Registration: via the event page of the ITHM Tech Accelerator Day. The number of meeting slots is limited. Participation is subject to prior selection and appointment scheduling.
