Success Without Connections – Why You Need Healthy Networks
At the BIPoC Media Meetup, media professionals come together to learn from one another and strengthen their professional network.
Starting a career in the media industry is often shaped by structural barriers for BIPoC – from lack of access and family pressure to scarce resources. Yet how do we create spaces that support us? And what does lived mutual support look like? The founders of the cleo collective provide practical insights from three years of building sustainable community structures and share stories from their personal professional lives.
Join Us!
Startup founders, creators, freelance media professionals in the media industry who identify as BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color): Join us – for the BIPoC Media Meet-Up in Munich.
For this event, we want to be inclusive and invite all people with an international background and experiences of racism to be part of it.
Note
The meetup is intended to be a networking space for the BIPoC community. Allies and supporters are warmly welcome as guests to listen and learn.
However, because our capacity is limited, our primary focus is on supporting media professionals with an international background and experiences of racism. We therefore reserve the right to manage ticket allocation to prioritize this target group and, if necessary, adjust registrations from allies to prioritize space for the community.
Respect Is a Prerequisite
We want an environment of mutual respect. Discriminatory statements and actions have no place at our event and may result in exclusion. By participating in our events, you agree to our Code of Conduct. Thank you for helping make Media Lab Bayern events a safe space for new ideas!
