The current space race and the deployment of strategic satellite systems determine not only the ability to defend oneself in international conflicts. It also forms the foundation for reliable internet connectivity if wired communication networks fail or are damaged by sabotage.
Moreover, autonomous European satellite systems strengthen the operational continuity of domestic companies and secure their independence. More generally, the growing satellite technology market offers new business opportunities for Bavarian companies, which have a strong tradition in this field.
