For garden enthusiasts
While gardening is currently on hold, garden aficionados are already looking forward to the gardening year 2023. With Plantura’s ‘Plantable Calendar’, you can increase this anticipation even further. The calendar not only provides 12 seed cards with organic seeds, but also sowing instructions and monthly gardening tips. If you don’t want to wait until spring and prefer to give something green right away, you’ll also find what you’re looking for at Plantura in their houseplants section.
For grandparents
Looking at and reading books together promotes bonding between children and those reading to them. But what if, for example, grandparents don’t live nearby and can’t come by to read aloud? Lesido offers a solution: the Munich startup has developed a streaming service for digital picture books with integrated video chat. This gives parents access to a collection of children’s books, and grandparents can also read these books aloud via video – no matter how many kilometers separate them from their grandchildren.
For date lovers
Date pralines, date spreads, date gingerbread – Djoon makes all date lovers’ hearts skip a beat. The sweet treats from the Munich startup are also organic, vegan, and sugar-free. If you want to give Christmas sweets, you can choose the Christmas Collection: 16 pralines made from the flavors Nougat Crisp, Christmas Punch, Roasted Macadamia, and Speculoos. If you’d rather assemble your own selection, you can visit the Djoon Pop up Store at Lenbachplatz 7 before Christmas.
For the environmentally conscious
Shaving without plastic razor cartridges regularly ending up in the trash – is that possible? It is, with the plastic-free swing-head razor from Shavent. Here, consumers only replace what really needs to be replaced: the blades instead of the entire razor head. Any standard razor blades can be used, which are usually cheaper than entire plastic razor cartridges. A gift, then, not just for the environment, but also for the wallet – at least for the recipient’s.
For children
We all constantly have headphones in or on our ears, listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks. But how do small children do this when they typically don’t yet have the smartphone needed for it? With Kekz. The startup has developed a wireless headphone system for children where the headphones independently play music and audio stories stored on the “Kekz” audio chips – without a phone, without downloads, and without the internet. Content is delivered via exchangeable Kekz chips. These chips contain different stories, can be purchased individually, and are attached via magnets to the outside of the earcup to start playback of the audio content.
