AI Nation launches new programs for AI startups across Germany. Founders receive targeted support from the pre-founding phase through growth via funding, coaching, and a strong network. AI Nation is supported by Munich Innovation Ecosystem and Science & Startups, the network of startup centers at Berlin universities and the Charité, as well as partners such as Start2Group, Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, and TUM Venture Labs. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and EXIST fund the program, with co-financing from the state of Berlin.
Until February 1, 2026, ambitious AI startups can apply for the next application round. AI Nation supports teams in turning innovative AI ideas into successful business models and achieving the next development stage.
AI Nation Grant: funding for early-stage AI projects
The AI Nation Grant targets early-stage AI startups that have not yet received financial support. Teams qualify if AI is a core base technology of their solution, they have identified a relevant problem, and defined their target market. Sustainability also plays a role: projects should address at least one of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
AI Nation supports selected teams with up to 54,000 euros for six months. Founders additionally benefit from AI experts, entrepreneurship mentors, a dedicated workspace, and integration into a growing AI ecosystem.
AI Nation Accelerator: scaling for high-growth startups
The AI Nation Accelerator supports AI startups based in Germany that are ready to scale. Prerequisites include demonstrable traction, such as pilot or paying customers, active users, or initial revenue. The program accompanies teams in defining and implementing individual growth goals.
Startups gain access to experienced mentors, exclusive networks of investors and strategic partners, and representative office spaces. A demo day offers the opportunity to present innovations and initiate important funding or partnerships.
