With live pitches in front of an audience at IFA in Berlin, the fourth edition of the national innovation competition Samsung Solve for Tomorrow celebrated its conclusion. Five teams presented their ideas at IFA Next in front of an expert jury. Among the top three is also a team from Munich: Anycharge secured second place. With its idea, Anycharge wants to revolutionize e-mobility. Intelligent robots, equipped with innovative energy supply and a modern navigation system, are intended to travel independently to e-vehicles and charge them safely and efficiently.

In addition to Anycharge, Biosheets from Mainz (1st place) and Speech-to-Health from Berlin (3rd place) were also able to convince the Solve for Tomorrow jury with their solutions for the healthcare sector. Biosheets develops wearable, conductive polymers that are intended to monitor patients’ heart health through real-time data transmission. Speech-to-Health is working on a digital assistant for medical professionals that will convert spoken language into text during medical examinations.

The prize winners were able to look forward to designated prize money of up to 10,000 euros as well as various devices from the Samsung Galaxy portfolio. In preparation for their pitches, the teams also had the opportunity to speak with mentors and alumni of Solve for Tomorrow.

Previously, the three winning teams had already established themselves with their projects in various phases of the competition against more than 100 submitted ideas. Among all applicants, Samsung had invited selected teams to a two-day ideas camp at its German headquarters. The five best teams then entered a two-month development phase, at the end of which the final pitch event took place.

For the winners, the so-called impact phase now begins. Over the next six months, they will be supported by Samsung mentors and external experts in further developing their projects up to company formation.

All further information about Solve for Tomorrow can be found on the competition’s website.
