For its 5th birthday, the initiative publishes its key learnings based on five years of experience in applying AI. Since 2017, AppliedAI has supported companies in the application and development of AI together with technology and industrial companies as well as organizations from politics and science. At the same time, the initiative discusses the impact of AI on people and the economy and addresses the steadily growing importance of AI through free offerings and support services. The startup map, published on an annual basis, provides updates on current developments in AI and offers established companies and policy makers guidance and points of contact.
AppliedAI also provides AI fundamental knowledge for everyone through free online courses, the AI maturity assessment, or an application case library. Regularly published whitepapers also support companies with relevant questions around AI.
Since 2022, the initiative has served as a joint venture between the Dieter Schwarz Foundation and UnternehmerTUM.
“40,000 people trained in AI”
Andreas Liebl, Managing Director of AppliedAI, summarizes:
“Over the past five years, we have trained over 40,000 people in AI and supported hundreds of companies in bringing the technology into practice. I’m particularly pleased that other AI initiatives now also regard us as Europe’s leading institution in this field. With the planned collaboration with IPAI, we are aiming for a tenfold increase in our previous output in the coming years, so that thousands of companies across Europe can professionally and value-adding implement AI.”
