Arx Robotics is a manufacturer of unmanned autonomous ground systems for use in military and commercial applications. Last year, NATO, among others, invested in the startup through its Innovation Fund. Now the startup announces the opening of Europe’s largest production facility for autonomous-capable unmanned ground systems. The official inauguration took place in the presence of Bundestag members Florian Hahn (CSU) and Andreas Lenz (CSU).

Marc Wietfeld, co-founder and CEO of Arx Robotics, comments:

“The opening of our new facility is a significant milestone – both for our company and for our commitment to supporting Ukraine. Europe’s armed forces face structural challenges regarding personnel and equipment. Unmanned systems offer the opportunity to close this capability gap – provided they can be produced on a large scale with a European supply chain. Our new production facility is a crucial milestone on this path to strengthening Europe’s strategic technology sovereignty and resilience.”

Florian Hahn, member of the German Bundestag (CSU), states:

“Innovation requires courage and support, and that means taking responsibility. Germany’s role in the European security architecture is significantly shaped by forward-looking companies, particularly in areas such as software-defined defense and artificial intelligence.”

With the commissioning of the new production facility, the startup can further scale its manufacturing capacities, build new strategic partnerships, and advance the development of innovative autonomous defense systems. This expansion is intended to strengthen European defense capabilities and ensure that armed forces have access to state-of-the-art technology and powerful mass-scalable solutions.

Over the past six months, Arx Robotics has increased its production capacities by a factor of 30 and enabled industrial series production. In addition, Arx robots are being deployed on a large scale in Ukraine. The startup has delivered the largest fleet of unmanned ground systems (UGS) of Western design to Ukrainian armed forces.
