Munich-based startup Arx Robotics is delivering additional unmanned ground systems from the Gereon series to Ukraine, thereby building the world’s largest networked military robotics fleet. Since the beginning of the year, the systems have already been in operation in the region, and the current order is already the third expansion of the existing fleet.
In parallel, Arx Robotics is expanding its production and supply chain structures there. Parts of manufacturing take place at the company’s Ukrainian facility, while local partner companies are increasing their capacities. In this way, Arx Robotics strengthens the industrial base locally and simultaneously increases the resilience of its own supply chain.
Scalable fleet structure for flexible operations
The new ground vehicles of the Gereon series are connected into a coordinated network via the AI-powered operating system Mithra OS. This enables hundreds of units to operate simultaneously, exchange data, and adapt in real time to tactical changes. Mithra OS bundles sensors, autonomous functions, and interfaces to other platforms. This creates a scalable, software-defined fleet structure that can respond flexibly to changing operational scenarios.
The fleet is deployed across various military domains: from reconnaissance and logistics to support missions in the field. Through comprehensive networking, Ukrainian armed forces benefit from, among other things, shorter response times and better supply security.

Defence technology for Europe made in Munich
Arx Robotics is considered one of Europe’s leading defence technology companies. With its modular platform architecture, Arx aims to advance the digital transformation of land forces and retrofit existing vehicle fleets with autonomy and sensor technology.
The unmanned ground vehicles of the Gereon series as well as the AI-powered operating system Mithra OS have already been introduced at several European armed forces and have been in operation in Ukraine since the beginning of the year. With the new fleet agreement, cooperation is expanding further and underscores the role of the Munich startup as an important player for security-relevant robotics and high-tech development in Europe.
