Pixel Robotics builds intelligent, perception-guided robots tailored for intralogistics. Using an AI vision infrastructure, a digital twin of the operating area is created. Based on this real-time twin, the Munich startup’s robots can work autonomously alongside their human colleagues and automate in-house horizontal pallet transport. The company was founded in 2020 by Johannes and Valentin Plapp.

After the robots have already been successfully deployed in several companies and the order list continues to grow, Pixel Robotics has now started series production.

“Automated pallet movements bring significant efficiency gains”

BayBG investment manager Armin Makki says:

“The global market for autonomous mobile robots is currently valued at 4 billion euros and will continue to grow due to increased manufacturing automation and the growing e-commerce sector. Automating pallet movements leads to significant efficiency gains and cost savings.”

Pixel Robotics founders Valentin and Johannes Plapp are also convinced of the success of the collaboration:

“We are proud to have won such a renowned and successful investment partner in BayBG, who understands our strategy and will support our growth in a long-term partnership.”

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
