Caire.ai develops a technology that can determine vital parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and stress levels based on a video recording of a face. The system operates completely contactless and works with almost any standard camera.
With this innovation, Caire.ai convinced numerous investors who provided a total of €850,000 in pre-seed financing. The round was led by YZR Capital, a VC focused on healthcare. Bayern Kapital and capacura, the online pharmacy DocMorris, and Martin Blüggel, a healthcare angel investor, also invested. The startup is using the fresh capital to advance both medical certification and product development.
With its technology, Caire.ai wants to offer the clinical sector faster ways to capture vital data from patients. Hospitals could establish rapid, contactless, and fully digital triage systems. Beyond clinical use, the technology can also be applied in the automotive industry or consumer electronics. For example, vehicles that monitor their drivers’ health status or smartphones with enhanced features for continuous health monitoring are conceivable.
Currently, there is already a partnership with Klinikum Fürth. Caire.ai’s solution has already examined approximately 2,800 patients there. Additionally, the startup is working with automotive manufacturers to test its system in real driving scenarios.
