Beatvest was founded in 2021 by Julia Kruslin and Sophie Thurner as an educational investment platform for stock market enthusiasts. The Beatvest app aims to provide the necessary knowledge for investment decisions through educational elements. Additionally, a fictional investment feature is intended to help users observe investment movements and become familiar with the financial market.

With this knowledge-based approach, the two founders have now also convinced investors and raised €1.3 million. Beatvest co-founder Julia Kruslin comments:

“[…] We are delighted by the high confidence that investors are placing in us, as in 2022 only 1.1 percent of venture capital flowed into startups led by women.”

Better retirement provision through more knowledge

The app was developed over the course of the past year in collaboration with users as well as learning and financial experts. It is now available in the Apple App Store, with Google Play to follow. With its application, the Munich startup wants to support users from the first steps of investing to building a portfolio for retirement provision. The goal is to enable people to make their own investment decisions through knowledge building with 3-minute modules.

“Far too few people have the necessary financial education to look to the future with confidence. The financial world can quickly feel overwhelming. As a result, many people struggle to decide on suitable investments. This means that only a small number of people effectively secure themselves for retirement”,

explains Sophie Thurner, co-founder of Beatvest.
