With the fresh capital, Edurino wants to expand globally and expand its product offerings for preschool and primary school children. The stated goal is to become the personalized e-learning platform for children worldwide. Edurino founders Irene Klemm and Franziska Meyer say:
“According to forecasts, our children will work in jobs in 10 years that don’t exist in this form today. To close this skills gap, Edurino teaches children important future competencies through the magic of play, helping them understand digitalization as a useful tool for tomorrow’s world. The positive feedback from thousands of families and collaboration with our partner kindergartens is driving us to expand Edurino globally.”
“Edurino is reimagining digital learning”
The digital learning platform is already being used in over 160 educational institutions. The young company is already listed at 10 major retail chains and online stores in the German-speaking region, including Media Markt, Saturn, Müller, Thalia, and My Toys, and has sold more than 100,000 products after one year on the market. Götz Müller and Julia Lang from Tengelmann Ventures say:
“The new normal in a world after the coronavirus pandemic requires digital education solutions that work and are accessible to everyone. Edurino is reimagining digital learning and building the bridge between education at home and in care facilities. We see the potential in this to give children from very different backgrounds access to knowledge and the opportunity to learn future-relevant skills even before they start school.”
