Edurino has completed a Series B financing round of 17 million euros. The aim of the financing is to expand the Edurino platform as a leading address for educational gaming in the preschool and primary school age group.

The round is led by Ravensburger Next Ventures as lead investor and Summiteer, the investment vehicle of serial founder Sven Schulz. Existing investors such as DN Capital, Tengelmann Ventures, B2venture, Emerge, FJ Labs, G-Fund, and Jens Begemann are participating again. Additionally, business angels Stefan Winners and Frederik Vollert are investing.

“We are not just building learning products, we are building a platform that accompanies children through strong content, characters and experiences in the long term. Edurino is becoming the leading address for digital learning in preschool and primary school age,”

says co-founder Franziska Meyer.

Edurino focuses on scaling, retail, and product innovation

The startup is pursuing three central growth goals: further development of the platform with new learning content and hybrid products, international rollout – including to the United Kingdom – as well as doubling its presence in retail by the end of 2025.

“Through our scaling, we want to reach even more families with Edurino – digitally, in retail, and cross-medially networked. With Ravensburger, we have found the ideal partner who wants to actively shape our vision of playful learning. Retail proximity and expertise to develop products together are crucially important to us,”

explains co-founder Irene Klemm.

Ravensburger sees in Edurino’s concept a forward-thinking connection between analog play and digital education. Managing Director at Ravensburger Thomas Bleyer says:

“Edurino succeeds in building a meaningful bridge between analog play and digital education. With their clear pedagogical concept and child-friendly implementation, the team convinces not only children and parents, but also us as a partner. We see in Edurino the potential to help shape digital early education sustainably worldwide.”

Technological approach and scientific support

A low-code system enables the creation of new learning content without manual programming and ensures high scalability. Over 40 educators, game designers, and scientists develop the content, which is scientifically evaluated together with the University of Cambridge.

Sven Schulz, founder of Summiteer, emphasizes:

“Edurino combines pedagogical expertise with cutting-edge technology and thereby creates a learning platform that excites children and convinces parents. We see great potential in Edurino to sustainably shape the education landscape, and we look forward to actively shaping this journey as a partner.”

Edurino was founded in Munich in 2021 by Irene Klemm and Franziska Meyer. The company has already sold over one million products and cooperates with more than 1,500 educational institutions. The products are available at Media Markt, Saturn, and Smyths Toys, among others.
