With the EWA Advance program, EIT Food is expanding its support for female founders in the agrifood sector. The new module is aimed at startups that have already achieved initial market success and are now preparing their next growth step. Munich and Bavarian startups can also apply for the program until April 26, 2026 and secure up to €20,000 in funding.
EWA Advance complements the existing EWA program with an offering for advanced female founders whose startups are in a later development phase. For corresponding startups from Munich, this presents an opportunity to receive targeted support for further scaling.
Focus on scaling and funding
The program is aimed at entrepreneurs from across Europe. Participation takes place in a cohort format between September and December 2026. During this period, ten selected female founders work on further developing their companies, with a focus on growth, funding, and market positioning.
EWA Advance sets multiple priorities. These include further developing business models, preparing for investor meetings, and building partnerships with established companies. Additionally, participants will refine their scaling strategies.
The program includes structured training, individual mentoring, and networking formats. Experts provide content on topics such as business strategy, preparing for funding rounds, and collaboration with established companies. In parallel, participants receive personal support to plan their next growth steps or secure funding.
Up to €20,000 in prize money and mentoring
The program concludes with demo days in December. During these events, the female founders present their business models and progress. Selected startups receive up to €20,000 each to support their further growth.
The program is part of a Europe-wide initiative by EIT Food that supports women in the startup ecosystem. With EWA Advance, the organization expands its offering to include a format for startups that have already demonstrated initial revenue or pilot projects and want to expand their activities further. For Munich startups, this presents an opportunity to network across Europe and receive targeted support for the next growth phase.
