The Munich fintech Particula has set itself the goal of making the market for digital assets more transparent and understandable. To this end, the startup has developed a platform that rates tokenized assets according to economic, ecological, and technological criteria as well as compliance guidelines. Its target audience includes professional investors such as banks, hedge funds, venture capitalists, and companies.
Particula has now raised an undisclosed amount in its first financing round. Frankfurt-based VC Futury Capital is leading the financing. Additional investors include Plug & Play, Hatcher+, Vanagon Ventures, Blockchain Founders Group, Asia Pacific Investment Partners, and several business angels. The fresh capital is intended to further drive the growth of the young company.
Benjamin Krahmer, managing director of Futury Capital, explains the investment decision as follows:
“We see great market potential; many banks and industry-leading companies are already looking closely at the market and increasingly expanding their engagement. The removal of regulatory hurdles and the simultaneous development of guidelines are fueling the efforts of European banks and companies to intensify this engagement further. As a first mover in the rating of tokenized assets, Particula is ideally positioned to shape the market. We are impressed by the maturity of the young yet dynamic founding team and the development of the company in just one year since its founding.”
Founded in 2022, the startup originally emerged from the incubator of the Blockchain Founders Group. Particula has already attracted notable DAX companies and banks. The fintech was founded by Timm Reinsdorf, Nadine Wilke, Carsten Hermann, and Wolfram Menser.
