As an official partner, Flix wants to raise awareness among as many people as possible about sustainable, collective travel at every touchpoint, from advertising and stadium placements to fan activities with giveaways, discount offers for matches, and much more. The partnership aims to bring people together – whether friends, family, or other fans – and make it easier for them to travel to the cities hosting UEFA competitions. Over the past two seasons, Flix has already connected over 130 match venues, many of them in smaller cities with limited access to long-distance travel.

“Sport brings people together – just like Flix”

André Schwämmlein, CEO and co-founder of Flix, is delighted about the new partnership:

“We are proud to become an official partner of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League. Sport brings people together – just like Flix. We started in Germany eleven years ago and are now present worldwide in 44 countries. The partnership reflects our mission to make sustainable travel accessible to everyone – whether it’s for a trip to friends and family or to cheer on their football club.”

And Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director at UEFA, adds:

“We are pleased about the partnership with Flix, a company that connects communities across Europe through collective transport and shares our vision of a more sustainable future. Whether fans are traveling to an exciting UEFA Europa League or UEFA Conference League match or planning a longer stay – we are making it easier for them to experience the magic of football in legendary stadiums in Europe’s most beautiful cities.”

Collective travel options such as buses and trains are essential to make it easier to access matches and enable group travel. This not only fosters a sense of community on the way to the stadium, but also contributes to sustainability: using these modes of transport significantly reduces CO2 emissions compared to other options, which has a positive impact on the environment.
