SMEs can apply for the IGP – including startups, freelancers, and also social enterprises – as well as research institutions and universities cooperating with these companies. The program offers two different project formats: smaller feasibility projects and larger market-ready projects. The project formats can be implemented either as individual projects or in cooperation with multiple partners.
The third call promotes business models and pioneering solutions for better health and care. To have good prospects of success, these should target innovations in the fields of health and/or care and develop market-oriented innovations that promise advantages over existing solutions.
In terms of content, the IGP is looking for, among other things, innovative solutions to improve prevention, care and rehabilitation, new designs and concepts for inclusive innovations or dignified aging, as well as innovative support concepts for sick and care-dependent people and their relatives.
Submission deadline August 27
Applications can be submitted from now on, the deadline is August 27, promptly at 3 p.m. Those who convinced in the participation competition will enter the jury evaluation. Applicants may be invited to present their project in a pitch, expected in January 2025. This should particularly concern those participation applications that are placed in the middle range of the ranking in the jury evaluation. No pitch is planned for stronger or weaker participation applications. The BMWK has not yet decided where the pitches will take place. If your participation application is convincing, you will then have the opportunity to submit a full application for funding.
The IGP provides additional information in several webinars. In the first overview webinar “IGP explained simply”, details about the goals, requirements and funding modalities of the IGP are shared, assistance is provided in formulating the short participation sketches and questions are answered. In addition, a “live chat with the project sponsor” is planned shortly before the deadline for sketch submissions.
