To offer its members free access to Foodpunk’s technology, AOK Plus has entered into a partnership with the nutrition company. This allows insured members to compile healthy eating plans with around 700 practical, sugar-free recipes through their app. In addition, users should be able to expand their knowledge on topics such as gut health in the form of interactive challenges.
Foodpunk’s nutrition experts have been developing nutrition programs based on current scientific findings since 2015. The startup continuously expands its range of specialized plans for various medical conditions. Programs that promote healthy weight loss or improved skin appearance can also be created using the app.
Foodpunk founder and CEO Marina Lommel explains:
“Nutrition-related diseases cause 70 billion euros in costs for the German healthcare system annually. We are grateful that we can contribute our part to enabling more prevention through healthy nutrition, and we are proud that AOK Plus has selected Foodpunk as the best partner on the German market for this purpose.”
Babette Walluhn, product manager at AOK Plus, says:
“AOK Plus supports its members with innovative digital offerings. A good example of this is the personal health assistant AOK Navida, whose content is constantly expanding. New is a nutrition tool from Foodpunk with exciting challenges for a healthier self.”
