The seed round, which brings Fryte Mobility 3.5 million euros, is co-led by 4impact capital and the Munich-based mobility investor Rethink Ventures. With the capital, the company founded in 2025 plans to scale its platform for connecting e-truck fleets with charging infrastructure across Europe.
Fryte Mobility focuses on coordinating charging points with logistics operations. The software is designed to connect transport management and charging infrastructure in such a way that freight forwarders can plan and reserve charging stops along their routes, while charging point operators receive early information about incoming electric trucks and their energy requirements.
For freight forwarders, simply having charging infrastructure in place is no longer enough. Charging points must be available along the specific route at the right time and seamlessly integrate into route planning.
4impact capital and Rethink Ventures lead seed round
Alongside 4impact capital and Rethink Ventures, existing investors Revent, F-LOG, and Accilium Ventures, as well as several business angels, are also participating. According to the company, the round brings the total funding raised to date to 5 million euros.
The new capital is primarily intended to fund Europe-wide scaling: Fryte plans to expand its commercial team, connect additional charging infrastructure operators—known as charge point operators (CPOs)—and deepen the integration of their charge point management systems (CPMS).
Rethink Ventures brings a clear industry focus to the table: The Munich-based early-stage fund invests specifically in European companies in the mobility, automotive, logistics, and energy sectors.
Fryte Mobility connects route planning and e-truck charging infrastructure
Until now, transport management systems have often planned routes without direct information on whether a suitable charging point is actually available at the scheduled time. Conversely, charging point operators do not necessarily know in advance when an electric truck will arrive and how much energy the vehicle will require.
This is precisely where Fryte comes in, aiming to close this information gap. Its open software infrastructure connects logistics platforms with charging management systems, relying on industry standards such as OCPI, among others. On this basis, charging points are to be bookable in advance across providers and national borders.
For dispatchers, this means that charging stops can be factored directly into route planning. Drivers are to be provided with suitable charging points and reservations if necessary. CPOs, in turn, gain greater predictability over their capacity utilization.
Fryte co-founder and CTO Sebastian Wolff says:
“E-trucks can only be charged nationwide and efficiently if the charging infrastructure is networked across operators. This requires open standards. We have already taken this step with charging – the next important milestone is transport management.”
According to Fryte Mobility, the platform is already operational at locations with multiple charging providers. More than 200 end-to-end bookings have reportedly been processed via the system so far – from planning by dispatch to execution by drivers and confirmation by charge point operators.
The startup’s pilot and cooperation partners to date include Traton Charging Solutions with MAN Charge & Go, Fiege, Fraport, Energie Südbayern, and Dettendorfer Energy, among others.
EU regulations increase pressure to electrify heavy-duty transport
The timing of the funding coincides with a phase in which the decarbonization of European road freight transport is being pushed forward by regulation. According to the European Commission, heavy-duty vehicles account for more than a quarter of road transport greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union and over six percent of total EU greenhouse gas emissions.
The EU has therefore tightened its CO2 fleet emission standards for heavy-duty vehicles. For truck manufacturers, this increases the pressure to raise the share of zero-emission vehicles. At the same time, the necessary charging infrastructure must not only be built, but also efficiently integrated into existing logistics processes.
And that is where Fryte comes into play: instead of building yet another isolated charging or logistics service, the startup is positioning itself as an overarching software layer connecting fleets, logistics systems, and charge point operators.
Pauline Wink, Founding Partner at 4impact capital, sees this as a key difference compared to other market players. While many providers develop vertical point solutions, Fryte is building a horizontal coordination layer across logistics, charging, and energy systems.
