As early as 2019, Fulfin was able to win over Hevella Capital and Lakeside for its pre-seed funding. A year later, the two investors made another seven-figure investment. Now they are back for the Series A, additionally supported by alternative investment platform Stableton.
Fulfin provides e-commerce companies with working capital and takes the companies’ goods as collateral. This allows online shops to quickly access money, for example to purchase new inventory. Fulfin uses its own proprietary risk scoring and an internally developed collateral model to assess creditworthiness by evaluating bank and e-commerce data. In addition, the startup also focuses on developing analytics and benchmarking products.
“Based both on the automated analysis of financial transactions and benchmarking data from several thousand e-commerce merchants, we can provide our customers with flexible working capital exceptionally quickly. With the completion of this new funding round, we are now able to tap into the enormous market potential of innovative financing solutions for e-commerce companies even more effectively,”
explains Alfred Gruber, one of Fulfin’s two founders.
“E-commerce in Germany is growing six times faster than traditional retail. Young e-commerce entrepreneurs expect their financing partners to offer a high degree of digitalization. However, banks are unable to meet this expectation and the growing demand for fast and simple credit,”
adds Fulfin co-founder Nathan Evans.
Fulfin to “revolutionize finance”
“Fulfin is developing a lending technology that will revolutionize finance. Fulfin’s unique combination of an integrated cloud-based liquidity and financial planning tool with lending is an absolute differentiator in the market. This perfectly combines technology with financial services expertise to provide customers with a best-in-class product, which will also be reflected in Fulfin’s business success,”
says Stableton Managing Partner Andreas Bezner.
In addition to the investment, Fulfin has already signed a cooperation agreement with Varengold Bank, which has held the position of Banking-as-a-Service and financing partner since May 2022. The partnership enables Fulfin to meet strong demand in lending.
