The Munich startup 3Bears is expanding its growth strategy with a fresh funding round in the millions. Founders Caroline and Tim Nichols are consistently focusing on expansion in Europe, particularly in the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as strengthening their marketing and retail activities. The company, known for oat products without industrial sugar, continues to pursue the goal of making natural nutrition more widely available and advancing paper-based packaging.

The new funding brings not only capital but also expertise. A paper packaging manufacturer and several business angels are joining in. Additionally, professional athlete Serge Gnabry is participating as an investor and brand ambassador. He explains his involvement like this:

“As an athlete, I pay close attention to my diet – natural products like those from 3Bears fit perfectly with my philosophy. I’m excited to be part of this exciting growth story.”

Viora Beteiligungs eGbR also sees great potential in the company. In the funding round, it emphasizes the strategic value of the investment:

“Our investment in 3Bears Foods GmbH is a deliberate decision to participate in a rapidly growing segment. In Caroline and Tim, we have found founders who are authentic, professional and visionary at the same time. 3Bears combines healthy nutrition, brand strength and innovation; qualities that create a clear competitive advantage and offer long-term value potential.”

Focus on European expansion

Since its founding in 2016, 3Bears has established itself in the German market. Now the startup is increasingly focusing on Europe. The investment is flowing specifically into opening new markets and expanding sustainable product solutions.

Caroline Nichols, co-founder and CEO, emphasizes:

“We are delighted to have these strong partners on board who share our vision and believe in the future of 3Bears.”

Tim Nichols, also CEO and co-founder, adds:

“With the support of these strategic investors as well as top athletes like Serge Gnabry, we can accelerate our growth, make our products even more sustainable and open up new markets.”
