For the ninth time, Techniker Krankenkasse and Handelsblatt are awarding the Health-i Award for innovative ideas in healthcare. The award is part of the Health-i initiative, which gives actors in the field of health innovation the opportunity to present and network.
The focus of the Health-i Award is on ideas that make healthcare provision for patients simpler and more progressive. Solutions that show perspectives for the (digital) future of healthcare are also in demand.
As part of the competition, the organizers identify the ten best German startups in the healthcare sector. At the awards ceremony in October in Hamburg, they will be able to present their projects and a jury will select the three winning startups.
Participation requirements for the Health-i Award
- All startups based in Germany that are dedicated to innovative, digital projects in the healthcare industry are eligible to participate.
- The innovations already have CE certification or a pilot study is available.
- The criteria of novelty, scalability, patient benefit, and market opportunities/success are met.
- The startup has no more than 500 employees.
Why participation is worthwhile
- Startups increase their reputation and visibility on the market.
- Young, creative ideas are given a stage by having the top 10 present their concept to a prominent jury.
- Startups can network with important players in the healthcare industry.
- The top 10 benefit from a far-reaching communication strategy.
- The top 3 are admitted to the Health-i Board and thus gain contacts with representatives from business and science.
