The Impact Area in the backyard of Munich Startup Festival showcases what matters in a resilient impact ecosystem: diversity, impact, exchange. Here, founders, investors, and network partners meet – organized by the “Social Innovation” team of Munich’s Economic Development Agency.

The goal: to think and shape solutions for social and ecological challenges together. This is where new connections, partnerships, and perhaps the idea for the next major purpose-driven startup emerge.

A day for inspiration and exchange in the Impact Area

The Impact Area’s stage program brings together expertise, offers different perspectives, and enables networking:

  • 10:30 AM: Presentation of the Social Innovation Network
  • 11:00 AM: IMMPACT Guide with Thomas Steiner (PHINEO)
  • 11:45 AM: Impact Investing with Nicole Thiel (Federal Initiative Impact Investing)
  • 12:30 & 14:30: Speed Networking with the Match Makers
  • 1:45 PM: SEND e.V. presents itself
  • 3:45 PM: Impact Pitch: 3 startups – 3 solutions
  • From 4:15 PM: Munich Impact Co-Founder Matching with Tom Kisler

Participating: Rapid Resilience, Nexus Politics, ESG Score

In addition to startups Nexus Politics and ESG Score, Rapid Resilience is also launching in the Impact Area. The impact company develops the first web platform that brings artificial intelligence to heavy rainfall preparedness, enabling on-demand heavy rainfall hazard maps and the ability to simulate the effects of measures. Jan Boeckmann, CEO and CTO of Rapid Resilience:

“I’m really looking forward to Munich Startup Festival. As a young startup, we’re hoping for many exciting conversations, new contacts, and perhaps our first pilot customers who want to protect themselves from the consequences of the climate catastrophe with us.”
