The Impact of Diversity Award is all about diversity and inclusion. The award was initiated by the Women’s Career Index, a management tool for promoting women in companies. The goal of the award is to put initiatives, role models, and companies that are committed to diversity and inclusion in the spotlight – regardless of size and popularity. For this year’s fourth award ceremony, startups can now also apply in their own category.
nnnnThe “Diversity in Startups” category honors young companies that are financed with venture capital and have been on the market for no longer than ten years. The Impact of Diversity Award website also states:
nnnnnnnn“These companies integrate diversity into their corporate culture from the beginning and place great emphasis on equal opportunity. Diverse (management) teams play a key role in driving innovation and thus create competitive advantages that promote the growth of startups into scaleups.”
The sponsor of this category is the High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF).
nnnnThe application deadline, originally set for February 18, has been extended once more until March 3. Interested startups can nominate themselves via an application form. Following this, an expert jury will select the winners in each category. Additionally, all submissions have the chance to win the Audience Award through public voting. The 4th Impact of Diversity Award ceremony will take place as part of a live event on July 4 in Kronberg im Taunus.
