Itsmydata has developed a private data ecosystem and built a community of tens of thousands of participants and partner companies. Users should have full control over their data and be able to decide whether and to what extent they want to participate value-add in data-driven innovation. The platform is designed to enable companies to develop novel products, services, and business models based on shared user data. The Munich-based startup was founded in 2017 by Alexander Sieverts and Michael Giese. The founders previously worked at Schufa, at major insurance companies, and as managing directors of a data analytics firm.
The Munich-based company is now also active in Austria with its own website. Alexander Sieverts, co-founder and managing director, says:
“From now on, Austrians can also regain control over their data, monitor data usage by third parties, and leverage the value of their data.”
“Itsmydata is successful and growing”
The second co-founder and managing director Michael Giese announces:
“We are starting the internationalization of Itsmydata services and will expand into further markets in 2023. Itsmydata is successful and growing, and the launch in Austria is an important milestone in further establishing a fair data economy. Experiences in Germany have shown how important these services are in times of big data, e-commerce, and beyond. As a technology provider, we help accelerate the transformation toward a fair data economy.”
