This year, the Munich Digital Innovation Award will be presented by the Digicon audience to the most innovative company with a future-shaping concept. The competition is open to companies of all sizes and ages – whether startups, mid-sized companies, or corporations. We are looking for digital innovations that shape the future and stand out in these aspects:
- Level of innovation / unique selling points
- Customer benefit / market potential
- Feasibility
- Qualifications and experience of applicants
Interested companies can still apply until September 9 via the Digicon website. After the application deadline, all submissions will be evaluated by a jury of renowned personalities from industry and business. These include Jörg Ochs, CIO of SWM, Christof Schäfer, Business Operations Lead Airsense at Airbus Defence and Space, and Frank Schmidt, CEO at ITK Engineering and CTO at Bosch Engineering.
The top twelve will then advance to the finals and will be invited on November 21 to the innovation marketplace of the Digicon. Here, finalists will receive their own booth to present their idea to all participants and guests. Winners of the Munich Digital Innovation Award will be announced on the evening of the event via audience voting.
About Digicon
The Digital World Convention, or Digicon, is the annual event of Digitale Stadt München e. V. and takes place this year on November 21 at the SWM gas meter workshop in Munich. This year’s event theme is “Reality Check AI – Opportunities and Limitations in Practice”. For one day, experts from various fields will discuss the many benefits that AI offers, but also practical limitations and challenges that companies and research need to consider.
