To promote exchange and knowledge transfer between actors in Vienna’s impact scene and international startups, the Vienna Business Agency offers the five-day program Discover Vienna: Climate Tech from November 5-10, 2023. This program is designed to network international startups with Vienna’s climate tech ecosystem and create new business opportunities for them in the Austrian capital. The program focuses on renewable energy, hydrogen, climate change adaptation, circular economy, sustainable mobility, and urban logistics.
Discover Vienna: Climate Tech targets international startups working on new clean technologies, reshaping the way we do business, and contributing to the decarbonization of the economy. Selected startups can participate in exclusive roundtables and meetings with relevant stakeholders from Vienna’s innovation landscape and startup ecosystem. The Vienna Business Agency also covers accommodation costs for the duration of the program.
Participation in the UN Vienna International Energy and Climate Forum
Before the program begins, startups can also participate in the Vienna International Energy and Climate Forum (IVECF) on November 2-3. The forum is organized by the United Nations Organization for Industrial Development UNIDO at the Hofburg. The Vienna Business Agency also covers the costs for this extended stay from November 2-10.
All international companies and startups that are no more than five years old and have progressed beyond the prototype stage can apply. They must also have already established themselves successfully in their home market. The application deadline is September 20.
