Munich-based startup Lanes & Planes has entered into a partnership with the Expedia Group. The aim of the cooperation is to optimize booking processes in business travel management and enable customers to access a broad inventory of travel options.

Lanes & Planes offers specialized B2B solutions for business travel in Europe. The startup combines travel bookings, approvals, and expense management in a digital platform that integrates seamlessly into existing corporate systems. By integrating the Expedia platform, Lanes & Planes is expanding its offering: corporate customers gain direct access to Expedia’s hotel network and sometimes lower rates. In doing so, the company is focusing on closer integration between its business travel platform and the global travel provider.

Broader selection at better terms

Raj Das, Head of Commercial Partnerships at Lanes & Planes, explains:

“This partnership with the Expedia Group is an important milestone for Lanes & Planes and, more importantly, for our customers. By joining forces with Expedia, we are significantly expanding our range of travel options and securing even better rates so that our customers have access to the best possible offers for their business travel.”

The Expedia Group also welcomes the cooperation. Carolina Cabero, Expedia Group SVP, Private Label Solutions, says:

“We are very pleased to welcome Lanes & Planes as a valued partner in our B2B ecosystem. Lanes & Planes’ commitment to providing efficient travel solutions and great travel experiences aligns perfectly with our goals. We are confident that our collaboration will provide significant added value and a seamless booking experience for their customers.”

Long-term collaboration aimed for

With this partnership, the Munich-based startup aims to consistently expand its services. By integrating Expedia, the company, which was founded in 2017, will not only offer customers a wider selection but also strengthen its role as a central provider in digital business travel management. Going forward, Expedia will serve as Lanes & Planes’ preferred partner in the online travel space, which is intended to intensify collaboration and secure it for the long term.
