The LMU Innovation Incubator is a three-month early-stage startup program for teams of researchers, current and former students, and employees. The incubator offers the opportunity to explore and validate ideas for impactful innovations at the intersection of academia, science and business. As part of the program, participants have the chance to find co-founders and early investors as well as become part of the IEC startup community.
In three innovation lab rounds in October, November and December, potential founders learn in various workshop modules how to transform their research into an innovative enterprise. They also participate in tailor-made consulting and individual coaching sessions.
To apply for the LMU Innovation Incubator, interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Research results that solve a clearly defined problem
- Idea / product / service is clearly applicable
- Idea / product is in an early stage (pre-seed, prototype)
- If ideas / innovations are financed by external investors, clarity on intellectual property must exist
- Time and commitment to participate in the program and work purposefully on the idea
Further information and all details about the application can be found here. The application deadline is 29 September. The program starts in October 2024.
