The Media Scale-up Fellowship of the Media Lab Bayern is launching a new round: it supports media startups that have already generated revenue and acquired their first customers, providing access to customized growth strategies, intensive coaching, and a valuable network within the industry. The target group is media startups based in Bavaria, founded as limited companies, and no more than four years old. Only teams that have already achieved initial revenue are eligible to participate.

Multi-stage selection process

Applications are still possible until October 7, 2025. Following this, applicants will have individual meetings with coaches to review business models and financial planning. On November 14, 2025, there will be a pitch before a jury of media experts who will decide on final participation.

Media Scale-up Fellowship program launch in December

For the selected startups, the program begins on December 1, 2025, and runs for nine months.

In addition to financial support, there is an intensive 1:1 coaching phase at the start. During this, the team develops an individual growth strategy together with each startup. Based on this, workshops follow on topics such as financial planning, growth marketing, sales, investor readiness, partnerships, and leadership.
The Media Lab Bayern also provides support through targeted contacts with relevant companies as well as participation in conferences and industry events. Additionally, startups benefit from the active founder community of Media Lab and valuable connections to investors and venture capital providers.

This means that startups selected by the jury receive not only capital but are also supported in a structured way in their further development.

Detailed information about the program and application can be found on the website of Media Lab Bayern: Media Scale-up Fellowship.
