The Media Startup Fellowship supports young entrepreneurs in developing new solutions for the media industry. Within the nine-month funding program, media startups receive support in building their businesses. Fellows receive coaching, access to a large network in the media industry, and up to 50,000 euros. The Media Lab Bayern does not take equity stakes in the supported startups.
Media Startup Fellowship: support in three phases
The program is divided into three phases. In each phase, participants also receive financial support. In the first phase of the fellowship, participating startups should validate their prototypes, find their first customers, and develop market positioning. In this phase, founders receive coaching in team building, MVP, business models, and UX design. The second phase focuses on optimizing sales and finding customers. The Media Lab Bayern supports this with connections to the partner network and media industry. Coaching on pitching, marketing & PR, sales, and growth hacking should help startups move forward. In the third and final phase, participants develop a sustainable business model and fundraising strategy. Accompanying coaching on investment, law, and recruiting takes place during this phase.
Applications for the program are accepted until September 20, 2022. More information can be found on the Media Lab Bayern website.
