The nominated startups from Phase 2 of the Munich Business Plan Competition cover a broad technological spectrum – from artificial intelligence to digital medical applications to highly specialized hardware. They share a clear focus on market-ready, technologically demanding solutions.
These startups are nominated in Phase 2 of the Munich Business Plan Competition
- Agentix (Munich | TU München): The team is developing software that allows companies to automate their internal processes – simply by voice input. Small and medium-sized businesses should be able to use digital assistants without programming knowledge to save time and resources.
- Lemonflow.ai (Munich): The startup offers a digital voice assistant for operators of electric charging stations. It answers customer questions around the clock and helps significantly reduce support costs and improve user experience.
- Ovrlay (Grünwald near Munich): With Ovrlay’s solution, companies can create high-quality 3D models from simple photos and videos. These can be used for presentations, websites, or virtual trade shows and make marketing experiential.
- Legalian (Munich): Legalian makes it easier for companies and law firms to verify business partners. The platform automatically checks whether legal regulations – for example in the field of anti-money laundering – are being complied with, saving considerable effort in daily operations.
- Aron Surgical (Munich | LMU Hospital | TU München): Aron is developing a digital assistance system for surgeons. The software analyzes data and supports decision-making during operations – with the goal of making procedures safer and improving the training of young physicians.
- Bioexotec (Munich | TU München): The startup is working on a simple test that can detect certain types of cancer very early. The test is based on blood or saliva samples, is non-invasive, and is intended to enable fast and cost-effective early detection in the future.
- Coby (Munich | Hochschule München): Coby has developed an interactive plush toy for chronically ill children. It helps them manage their daily lives better – for example through reminders of important tasks – and provides emotional support at the same time
- Aumatis (Landsberg am Lech): Aumatis manufactures a small device that allows users to produce metal parts themselves using the precision casting process – for example for prototypes or repairs. The system is so simple that no prior knowledge is required.
- EnyPro Nature (Munich): The team is developing innovative composting machines that reduce organic waste from restaurants and food production by up to 90 percent within 24 hours and return it to the cycle as high-quality compost concentrate.
- Peak Quantum (Garching | TU München): This spin-off of the Walther Meißner Institute is working on new processors for quantum computers. Their technology is intended to be significantly more stable and reliable than existing systems – an important step towards enabling quantum computers to be used in industry in the future
Still want to enter Phase 3 – submissions possible until June 4
The Munich Business Plan Competition is open to startups from Munich and southern Bavaria. Participation takes place in three phases that build on each other. Phase 1 focuses on describing the idea, Phase 2 covers developing the business model. Phase 3 requires teams to provide detailed financial planning. Those who have not participated so far can still enter the competition: founding teams can submit their materials for the third phase until June 4, 2025.
