With the Munich Founder Prize, Stadtsparkasse München has been honoring outstanding young companies since 1997. In 2025, two prize categories were called for the second time in a row. InGemeinschaft won the audience award in the “Startup” category. The company offers a digital platform that facilitates intergenerational living. The goal is to bring together people of different age groups, enable them to live communally, and benefit from one another.
With their idea, the team convinced not only the jury, which selected the finalists, but also the public in the subsequent online voting. Co-founder Andre Schmöller emphasizes:
“Winning the Munich Founder Prize is a special recognition and confirmation of our vision to create new forms of communal living. The prize shows that social engagement and entrepreneurial action can go hand in hand – and motivates us to continue on our path with even more passion.”
In the “Rising Star” category, where only the jury determined the winner, Edurino prevailed. The edtech company is developing a learning app that enables playful learning for children. By combining interactive figures with digital content, the startup merges analog and digital education – an approach that has already convinced many educational institutions.
Co-founder Irene Klemm explains:
“Edurino was born in Munich, starting with the first idea and the first prototypes, and that’s precisely why the Munich Founder Prize feels so special to us. Thank you to our team, our community, and the Munich startup scene for the support. The award is a driving force for us to continue scaling Edurino and reach families across Europe from here.”
The winning startups of the Munich Founder Prize can look forward to diverse support. In addition to media attention through TV features and podcast episodes, they receive a consultation day with a business angel focused on organizational development and sales.
Stefan Hattenkofer, deputy chairman of the board of Stadtsparkasse München, summarizes:
“The 2025 winners, InGemeinschaft and Edurino, are outstanding examples of the innovative power and entrepreneurial spirit in Munich. Both companies demonstrate how creative solutions and socially relevant ideas can achieve business success. We are proud to accompany and support these founders on their successful journey.”
