Munich clean energy startup Spine raises 3 million euros: Munich-based startup Spine has raised 3 million euros in its second funding round. According to the company, the fresh capital will be invested in expanding the platform, scaling the business, and building teams in technology, sales, and customer service. “We can’t predict success at the beginning,” SCE CEO Klaus Sailer on flawed startup logic: The head of Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship questions one of the central assumptions in the ecosystem in the Pitch & People videocast: that success can be identified early on. Omegga raises 10 million euros in seed funding: Omegga addresses a central problem in the poultry industry with its solution. Worldwide, farms kill billions of male chicks every year as they have no economic value. The startup’s technology determines the chick’s sex already in the egg, enabling hatcheries to implement more efficient and animal welfare-compliant processes. US connection for Munich robotics startups: Munich-based robotics startups will soon have easier access to the US market. New York Robotics, TUM Venture Labs Robotics and AI and UnternehmerTUM have agreed on a transatlantic partnership within a memorandum of understanding. The goal of this cooperation is to network robotics and physical AI startups from Munich and the New York metropolitan area more closely and facilitate their access to international markets. LfA support volume nearly doubled in 2025: The LfA development bank Bavaria has increased its total support volume in 2025 by 45 percent compared to the previous year to 2.67 billion euros. The main drivers were a significantly expanded credit and risk relief offering, strongly growing demand for financing for founding, growth and transformation, as well as additional stimulus for venture capital for Bavarian startups.
