Munich-based company Navvis has closed a 74 million euro Series D funding round. The round is led by US private equity firm The Jordan Company (TJC) together with existing shareholders Yttrium, Kozo Keikaku Engineering, and Cipio Partners.
Navvis develops hardware and software that enables companies to digitally capture buildings, factories, and other physical assets. Mobile laser scanners deliver precise spatial data for this purpose, from which digital twins are created. Companies use these for construction projects, factory planning, and maintenance work, for example. Customers include BMW, Daimler, Allianz, Audi, and Skoda.
Georg Schroth, Co-Founder and CTO, explains:
“Operating in the physical world previously always meant planning based on drawings that no one fully trusts. We have changed that. Navvis captures every factory, every facility, and every building within a few days according to surveying standards and serves as a system of record for industrial reality data: a uniformly managed, always up-to-date dataset that every team, tool, and AI system can build upon.”
According to the company, Navvis scanned, processed, and delivered more than one billion square meters of industrial facilities, construction sites, and buildings via its platform in 2025 alone. In total, the platform now covers more than two billion square meters.
Spatial Data as the Foundation for AI
Navvis plans to use the new capital to further scale the processing of spatial data. At the same time, the company is working on an AI layer designed to make this data easier to use for humans, AI agents, and robots. Navvis sees potential applications in industrial automation, robotics, and AI-driven decision-making, among others.
Felix Reinshagen, Co-Founder and CEO, says:
“We closed this funding round to achieve even more: more scalability, more intelligence, and ultimately more productivity for the underlying assets. At the same time, we will expand our market presence, with a strong focus on the US market, where we have grown fastest in recent years.”
Robert D. Redmond, Partner at The Jordan Company, sees particular potential in Navvis’ technology and customer base:
“Navvis has built industry-defining technology, an extremely loyal customer base, and a team with a vision to redefine the digitization of the physical world. Navvis embodies exactly what we look for in our industrial technology investments: a superior technological solution for the world’s most demanding industrial companies. We are proud to partner with the Navvis team at this turning point and invest in further innovation as well as an outstanding product experience for the company’s customers.”
