In addition to Swiss insurance group Baloise, the startup Family Office from Baden-Württemberg is also investing fresh capital in Mobiko again. The exact investment amount is not known. The Munich startup was founded in 2018 from a cooperation between Audi Business Innovation and company builder Mantro. Mobiko offers companies a solution to settle their employees’ mobility expenses through a monthly digital mobility budget.
The goal of the funding is to develop Mobiko as a platform for corporate mobility solutions. This way, the startup aims to meet the growing market demand for mobility budgets and promote sustainable and low-emission corporate mobility.
Additionally, the growth capital supports the new strategic business unit “Mobiko MaaS Solutions”. There, the young company develops solutions for and with transport associations and public transport companies to further digitalize public transport. In particular, the closer integration of micro-mobility with public transport is the focus here.
A first project with the Rhein-Main transport association to establish a mobility budget for business customers has already started. Furthermore, a proof of concept is underway to test the possible integration of the MVG system with the mobility budget. In the future, companies will also be able to customize the existing modules of the Mobiko platform to meet their individual business needs.
